In the first story. If the supposed landlord was hiding under the bed why would you go hide in the bathroom and not just leave the building then call the cops
I highly doubt a cop would ask a civilian to "help get this guy upstairs" even if he needed him to be moved upstairs for some reason, and why would he need that?
I was about to make a comment about the third story; something along the lines of 'plot twist; the guy banging on the door and shouting was just a friendly neighbour trying to warn the kid of someone inside the house'...however that turned out to be the actual story. So I could not crack that "joke".

Story 2: Telling your story could help other kids if they ever come in contact with these boys as they may suffer the fate that you and your brother were suppose to. You think its silly and unnecessary to carry a gun legally. Just listen to a couple of these stories and think about how this could happen to you. Idk about you but I would much rather have a pistol in my waistband in all of these situations.
